Mt. Rushmore of Chiefs Running Backs

With the recent announcement of Priest Holmes as the next inductee in the Chiefs Hall of Fame, we figured it was time for our next installment of our Mt. Rushmore series. We polled social media to determine the Chiefs best four running backs and the results are in. The first three were pretty easy, but the fourth was more difficult. Priest Holmes (2001-2007): The newest member of the Chiefs Hall of Fame, Holmes flourished in Dick Vermeil’s offense and turned into an absolute steal when the Chiefs picked him up from Baltimore to be KC’s version of Marshall Faulk. Holmes is the Chiefs all-time leading rusher (6,070), is second in carries (1321), first in rushing TD (76) – and its not even close – and yards per game (93.4). He has two of the four season’s in franchise history averaging more than 100 yards per game for a season – 115.4 in 14 games in 2002 and 111.5 in half a season (8) two seasons later. Mt. Rushmore of Most-Hated Baseball players

It is fun to hate. That is part of what makes sports great. So, we wanted to find out who are the most hated players in baseball. So here are the results of our new Mt. Rushmore series. No surprise that AJ Pierzynski and his douchebaggery was the top vote-getter out of 27 nominees. The final results were: AJ Pierzynski In a Men’s Journal survey, Pierzynski, a professional irritant who has been a thorn in the Royals side for years now, was voted “most hated player” with 34% of the votes. “He likes to talk a lot of sh**, and I’ve heard he’s a bad teammate,” one National League told Men’s Journal. “He’s been a prick to guys on his own pitching staff. Basically, if you haven’t got five years in the big leagues, he treats you like you’re a peasant. He’s that kind of guy.” He can be hard-headed with teammates, and grating on opponents.
